Summary
Professor Peter A. Murray is a Professor of Management Science at FAST School of Management, NUCES, with more than three decades of experience in higher education, management, and organisational research. He previously served as Professor of Management at the University of Southern Queensland, where he held several senior leadership roles, including Head of the School of Management, Program Director for the Master of Adaptive Leadership, and MBA Director. He has also held academic positions at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Macquarie University, and the University of Western Sydney.
Professor Murray’s research spans organisational learning, knowledge and information management, strategic management, organisational behaviour, leadership, technology adoption, sustainability, and digital transformation. In addition to his research and teaching, Professor Murray has extensive experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, industry engagement, and research supervision. He has supervised numerous PhD students, established international academic collaborations, contributed to professional and scholarly associations, and served in editorial roles for leading management journals.
Professor Murray’s research and consultancy work has engaged with organisations across Australia and internationally, addressing areas including leadership, organisational change, strategic management, innovation, and workplace learning. His current research interests also include digital transformation, artificial intelligence, technology adoption, sustainability, and the changing nature of organisations and work.
