Expansion into interdisciplinary programs combining computing, management, sciences, and humanities. Aiming to become a global center of excellence in education, research, and innovation, with stronger engagement with industry for applied research, startups, and career development.
1997 – Foundation of Islamabad Campus
The National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES) inaugurated its Islamabad Campus, establishing a hub of excellence in computer science and engineering education in the capital city.
2000–2005 – Growth in Computing & Engineering
Launch of undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Rapid increase in student enrollment and expansion of academic blocks. Establishment of research-oriented labs to support the growing demand for skilled professionals.
2006–2010 – Expansion of Programs & Facilities
Introduction of Management Sciences programs. Strengthening of postgraduate studies (MS and PhD). Development of new laboratories, library facilities, and student activity areas.
2011–2018 – Research & Innovation Era
Recognized nationally for research in AI, Software Engineering, and Networks. Students and faculty achieved significant milestones in publications, patents, and funded projects. Launch of multiple societies and student clubs for holistic development.
2019–2025 – Infrastructure & Global Collaborations
Expansion of academic and administrative blocks. Establishment of the Corporate Advisory Board for industry linkages. Launch of FAST School of Computing with AI, CS, DS, SE, and Cyber Security departments. Growing reputation as a hub for innovation, research, and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Sadia Nadeem

Dr. Sadia Nadeem is the Head of FAST School of Management and Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences at FAST NUCES. A Chartered MCIPD (UK) with over 25 years of HR expertise, she brings extensive academic and industry experience, with research published in leading international journals.

Professor & HoS (Computing)
Dr. Hasan Mujtaba, Professor and Head of School at NUCES Islamabad. A Postdoctoral Fellow from the University of Nottingham, he researches AI, Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Evolutionary Gaming, and Machine Vision & Robotics.
Dr. Falak Khan
HoD (Accounting and Finance) & Assistant Professor
Dr. Falak Khan is an Assistant Professor at FAST NUCES with expertise in Financial Inclusion, Financial Literacy, Bibliometrics, Scientometrics, and Behavioral Finance. Her research contributes to advancing knowledge in finance and academia through a strong focus on inclusion and behavioral insights.

Dr. Muhammad Arshad Islam currently serves as Head of the Department of Computer Science at FAST NUCES, Islamabad, and he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Konstanz, Germany.

Dr. Aneka Fahima Sufi, Head of the Department of Management Sciences, holds a PhD in Management and brings extensive academic and industry experience. Her research focuses on ethics, leadership, and organizational behavior, with publications in renowned international journals.
Dr. Ahmad Din
HoD (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) & Professor
Dr. Ahmad Din is Professor and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. A Fulbright Postdoc from the University of Georgia, he has 18+ years of experience and specializes in AI, reinforcement learning, robotics, multi-agent systems, and Social IoT.

Dr. Usman Habib currently serves as Professor and Head of the Software Department at the FAST School of Computing, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES), Islamabad, Pakistan.
Dr. Qaisar Shafi

Dr. Qaisar Shafi is Assistant Professor and In-Charge of the Department of Cyber Security. A PhD in Information Security from NUST, he has 12+ years of experience, led departments and labs, secured funded projects, and researches cybersecurity, AI-based secure systems, IoT, blockchain, and SDN.
