Rector FAST-NU confers medals on position holders

·       Ultimate success in practical life depends upon positive approach: Ayub Alvi

 

Islamabad, March 12, 2020: The position holders of fall 2019 semester have been awarded with medal by Rector FAST-National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences here on Mar 12, 2020 (Thursday) at Islamabad Campus. Rector Dr. Muhammad Ayub Alvi conferred the medals on high achievers of different departments.

The medal distribution ceremony was held at university’s Islamabad campus today. Rector Dr. Muhammad Ayub Alvi graced the occasion as chief guest while he was accompanied by Campus Director Dr. Waseem Ikram, heads of departments, senior faculty members and management staff. A large number of parents and students attended the ceremony.

While addressing on this occasion, Rector NUCES Dr. Ayub Alvi congratulated the top position holders and encouraged them to play a proactive role in national development by showcasing their talent and spirit. Stressing upon the moral values, he said that true success lies in being a good human being and becoming a source of inspiration for others. Rector vowed the students to keep highest level of devotion and commitment during their lives as being ambassador of their mother institution. Though getting good grades and top positions mean a lot in academic career but ultimate success in practical life depends upon commitment and team work, he added. While talking about different factors involved in the success of students, Rector FAST-NU said that many people including parents and teachers play huge role behind the scenes and their efforts must be acknowledged.  Dr. Ayub Alvi said that spreading your knowledge should never be ignored because it’s the easiest way to play positive role in national growth.

On this occasion, NU-FAST Islamabad Campus Director Dr. Waseem Ikram congratulated the students and vowed them to continue their efforts for academic excellence. While quoting different aspects of life, director said that university is trying hard to bring positive changes in the lives of our students and hope that they will be generating positive impact on the society.  

Rector FAST-NU awarded 84 medals including 33 Gold, 24 Silver and 27 bronze medals to students who secured top three positions in fall 2019 examinations. The high achievers of Computer Sciences department received 19 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze medals. In Electrical Engineering department, position holders received 5 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals. In the discipline of Accounts & Finance, 4 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals were awards. While the high achievers of BBA program received 5 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals respectively.
