Summary

Dr. Waseem Shahzad is a Professor of Computer Science and currently serves as the Director of FAST-NUCES Islamabad Campus. A distinguished academic and accomplished researcher, he has made significant contributions to the field of Computer Science through his teaching, leadership, and research excellence.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Shahzad served as the Head of Department and later as the Head of the School of Computing, where he played a pivotal role in advancing academic programs and research initiatives. His professional affiliations extend across multiple national and international organizations, and he also serves on the boards of several prestigious universities.

Dr. Shahzad’s research portfolio includes numerous publications in reputed journals, with over 2,100 citations to his credit. He has successfully supervised seven Ph.D. and eighty MS students and has secured multiple research grants from prominent funding bodies.

In recognition of his outstanding academic and research contributions, Dr. Shahzad has been honored with the Best University Teacher Award by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and the Productive Scientist of Pakistan Award by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology.
