Summary

Dr. Danial Hassan is a critical management scholar with a deep interest in the cultural and ideological underpinnings of modernity. He completed his PhD in Management from the FAST School of Management, NUCES Islamabad (2024), with a research focus on false consciousness within the broader tradition of Critical Management Studies. A committed traditionalist, Dr. Hassan engages critically with the narratives of progress, rationality, and secularism that shape contemporary organizational life. He holds an MSc in Science and Technology Studies (Innovation Management) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia (2011), and a BS in Information Technology from Hamdard University, Karachi (2004).
Before entering academia, Dr. Hassan gained industry experience as a Network Subsystem Engineer in the telecom sector, working with major firms such as Intaphone, TeleCard, and Broadwave. This professional background informs his understanding of technological systems, organizational dynamics, and the real-world implications of management ideologies.
At the university level, Dr. Hassan teaches a range of interdisciplinary courses, including Business Ethics, Ethics of Business Analytics, Critical Thinking, Critical Perspectives in Management, and Organizational Behavior. His teaching draws on philosophy, critical theory, and traditional worldviews to challenge dominant managerial paradigms.
An avid reader, Dr. Hassan’s intellectual interests span philosophy, politics, history, and Sufism. In his free time, he enjoys playing lawn tennis and roller skating.
