Summary
Dr Haider holds a doctorate in business administration and before joining the education sector He worked at Pakistan Institute of Management- Ministry of industries and production, government of Pakistan, as a senior management counsellor. He has also worked in corporate sector in Chicago-USA for over 10 years. He was the head of marketing and business development for an American merchandiser-wholesaler organization in the Midwest region of USA. He was responsible for developing customer segments primarily in B2B ecosystem. He brings-in a wide spectrum of business practitioner knowledge to the business academia. Before joining FAST –Islamabad, Dr. Haider has worked as a head of GIFT business school and later on as a director school of management, GIFT Business School. GIFT university, Gujranwala. His industry / professional experience includes but is not limited to both public sector and private sector organizations. Among the major work responsibilities and roles, he is experienced in business development, customer analysis & retention, supply chain management including vendor sourcing, procurement and channel partner development. He is also experienced in market strategy analysis & development and NP&BD.
Dr Haider has published research papers in reputed journals in the area of marketing, management and economics. Since 2015/16, Dr. Haider has worked as an external advisor to PPSC-Punjab public services commission. He is also an affiliate Co-Faculty / Professor of the Microeconomics of competitiveness Network (MOC) at the Michael Porter’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness (ISC) -Harvard Business School-USA. As a research associate with Dr Steven Lin (former University of Chicago professor of economics). Dr Haider has led group discussions on game theory at the postgraduate level at SIUE-southern Illinois University- USA. Dr Haider is proficient in several data analytics software like SMART PLS, AMOS and SPSS.
