Urooj Ghani is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST NUCES), Islamabad, Pakistan. She holds a Gold Medal in Computer Science from FAST NUCES and a Distinction in Software Engineering from the International Islamic University, Islamabad. She has also published her research in top-tier venues, including a first-author paper in IEEE Transactions (Platinum Journal), and is actively contributing to emerging areas of information and cyber security. Her main research interests include Information Security, Blockchain Technology, Malware Analysis, Digital Forensics, and Artificial Intelligence. Her recent research focuses on blockchain-based vehicular software security, intelligent malware detection models, and the digital forensics of evolving cyber threats. Alongside research, Urooj is a dedicated teacher and mentor, passionate about nurturing innovation, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving skills in her students. She strives to bridge the gap between theory and practice by engaging students in hands-on projects, competitions, and research-based learning. She is currently affiliated with the Genesys Research Lab at FAST NUCES, where she collaborates on cutting-edge projects in emerging technologies.
