Summary
Dr. Usama Arshad is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), Islamabad. He has previously served as a Graduate Assistant at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) and has extensive experience in teaching courses related to Artificial Intelligence, Compiler Construction, Data Structures & Algorithms, and Software Engineering. Dr. Arshad holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from GIKI, where his research focused on integrating Blockchain with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Digital Twins, the Semantic Web, and Quantum Computing. His work aims to optimize scalability, cost-effectiveness, security, privacy, and robustness in digital ecosystems. He also holds an MS in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad, a BS in Computer Science from the University of Arid Agriculture, and a B.Ed from AIOU.
Dr. Arshad has contributed to various domains, including Blockchain, AI, Web 3.0, Cybersecurity, and Knowledge Graphs. His research has been published in reputable international journals and conferences, and he actively reviews papers for IEEE, Elsevier, Springer Nature, and PlosOne. Beyond academia, Dr. Arshad worked as a professional freelancer, specializing in technical writing, digital marketing, SEO, web development, graphic design, and video editing. He has been freelancing since 2016, collaborating with clients across diverse industries.
Dr. Arshad has also played a leadership role in academic communities, having served as the President of the Graduate Students Society (GIKI), where he organized research talks, workshops, and student engagement activities. He is open to collaborations, industry-academia partnerships, and discussions on Blockchain, AI, FinTech, Data Science, Machine Learning and Cybersecurity.
