Irfan Ahmed is a Lecturer at the FAST School of Management. His research primarily focuses on corporate finance, with particular emphasis on corporate governance and environmental finance. His recent work examines the implications of firms’ environmental practices and top management team (TMT) gender diversity for corporate financial choices.
Irfan holds a BBS and a Master’s degree from Riphah International University, which holds a prominent position in the QS Asia University Rankings. During the penultimate year of his master’s studies, he worked as a Research Associate at Global Illuminators, a research-based organization.
His published work has appeared in reputable finance and accounting journals, including ABDC-A ranked outlets such as the Managerial Auditing Journal. He also has strong research and teaching interests in data analytics and machine learning applications in finance, particularly using Python and Power BI, to make course content more practical and effective.
